What is CBD?

CBD is one of 100+ compounds found in the cannabis sativa plant that does not get you high but has incredible healing properties and medical benefits.   It’s natural anti-inflammatory and antioxidant powers have been shown to help a host of conditions including inflammation, mood, pain, stress, anxiety, sleep issues, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, PTSD and many others. Research is being conducted throughout the world to show how this unique plant-based compound can assist millions of people with their daily needs.

What is the best way to use CBD?

CBD can be delivered into your body in a number of different ways: including smoking or vaping; tinctures; capsules; topical creams, salves and patches; edibles, capsules, and more.  Vaping is one of the most common delivery methods. One of the easiest and most effective forms of delivery is using CBD oil, or tinctures which are administered under the tongue and absorbed directly into the bloodstream. The best method of delivery and ideal dose of CBD varies from individual to individual and may also depend on the condition being treated.

How does CBD work? And what is the Endocannabinoid System (ECS)?

All mammals have an Endocannabinoid System (ECS) and our bodies produce natural endocannabinoids. CBD is a natural phytocannabinoid that works with that system. The Endocannabinoid System (ECS) is a complex system of receptors, enzymes, and biochemical pathways found throughout our bodies that help create balance (homeostasis) and  regulate many bodily functions, including sleep, pain, and immune system response. Israeli scientist, Dr. Raphael Meschoulam and his team of researchers identified the ECS when studying the effects of cannabis on our systems in 1992.

Why doesn’t CBD get you high?

The Cannabis plant has 100+ compounds including the two main ones you most often hear about called THC and CBD.  Our CBD is derived from the hemp strain of cannabis and contains little to no THC (less than 0.3%). THC is the compound responsible for creating the ‘high’.  CBD, on the other hand, works with the other receptors in your body to provide healing and health benefits without getting you high. Using CBD for its therapeutic value makes it a great alternative to pharmaceuticals that can have negative side effects.

What conditions are helped with CBD?

CBD has been studied around the world for a multitude of conditions including Epilepsy, Neurological Disorders, Anxiety, Depression, Insomnia, Chronic Pain, Memory, Mood, Inflammation, Arthritis, Muscle Spasms, Multiple Sclerosis, PTSD, Bacterial Infections, Stress and many others. The FDA just approved a new CBD-derived drug, Epidiolex, for people with certain seizure disorders. Because of FDA rules, we are not allowed to make any claims. Customer testimonials and current research results say it all!

Is CBD legal?

Federally, hemp and hemp derived products are protected under the 2014 Farm Bill. All of our CBD products are from the hemp cannabis plant, not marijuana cannabis plant, and contain little to no THC (less than 0.3%). CBD from hemp is legal to sell and consume in most states within the US and many other countries.
